does short term health insurance coverage begin?
The earliest your coverage
can begin, if you choose to download an application, is the day following the
U.S. Postal Service postmark on the envelope in which you mail the application.
(Your application must be completed in full, meet the requirements for acceptance,
and be received with payment). If another company offers lower rates and you choose
to go with them, it will take a few days longer to get your temporary coverage
issued.
Can
I change my deductible?
No, deductible changes cannot
be made after short term insurance is issued.
What
is the definition of a pre-existing condition?
A pre-existing
condition is defined as an illness or injury for which the covered person received
medical treatment or advice from a physician within the 5 year period immediately
preceding the covered person's effective date; or that produced signs or symptoms
within the 5 year period immediately preceding the covered person's effective
date. Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Will
routine check-ups be covered?
No, temporary health policies
are designed to protect you in the even of an illness or injury and are not meant
to cover routine exams and preventive care. For this kind of coverage, ask us
