In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to find reliable sources of information you can trust. That’s never more critical than when it comes to protecting your health. Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did NOT implement a Florida vaccination program requiring registration, and no Florida Health Insurance Plans require H1N1 vaccination, fraudulent and harmful emails have been circulated about mandatory vaccination.
These emails include a link to a fake registration page for a vaccination program. When people click on the link, malicious software code can be installed on their computers. The CDC and many providers of Health Insurance in Florida urge you NOT to click on any links requiring you to register for a State Vaccination Program. Read the rest of this entry »

Florida Republican Marco Rubio has been working towards the GOP Senate nomination for months. However, until this month, Democrats are no longer viewing his candidacy as a longshot; the Democratic Party in Florida released a press release this week regarding Rubio’s candidacy. In the press release, Democrats focus on Rubio’s pledge to repeal Florida health insurance reforms.
Democrats argue that the right-wing Rubio is pledging to repeal Florida health insurance reform because he is, “nothing more than a typical politician who is in the hands of the health insurance industry,” said Eric Jotkoff, Florida Democratic Party spokesman. Read the rest of this entry »

Florida may expand its state-sponsored health insurance program this year to include the children of legal immigrants and state government employees. Currently, KidCare – the Florida state-sponsored health insurance program – receives a financial match from the federal government for the health insurance coverage it provides.

Anthem – one of Florida’s largest health insurance plan providers, is offering full coverage for the H1N1 for its health insurance plan members. Anthem health insurance plan members can receive the vaccination by injection or the nasal spray from their health care providers or qualified health centers that are offering vaccinations. To make the cost of the vaccination free to health insurance plan members, Anthem is waiving any co-pays, coinsurance, and deductible associated with receiving the vaccination, such as a doctor’s office co-pay.
