In Florida, the birth control mandate of the Affordable Care Act has faced strong opposition. In fact, a lawsuit was filed questioning the legality of the mandate. Approximately 4,000 of Florida’s uninsured residents are finally getting the healthcare they have long wanted and needed through the Florida health insurance Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP). This is less than the number the government had projected.
